Mary and Scott's creative partnership brought together independent filmmaking, performance, and a hands-on approach to bringing stories to the screen. Their shared producing work includes Last Shift, a Skyra Entertainment production, while Skyra's film credits also include Exhume, written and directed by Scott.

Together they built a slate of independent features — Cassadaga, Missionary, Last Shift, Exhume and Malum — alongside a collection of short films and dance films, from Sound Language and The Secret Book to Misfits, Goose and Mom.

Scott was a writer, director, producer, and dancer whose work crossed genres and disciplines. From horror films to dance-driven storytelling, he brought his interests together in projects such as Sound Language, which combined his love of tap dance and filmmaking.

He wrote Cassadaga, Missionary, Last Shift, Exhume and Malum, and his writing and scripts earned awards along the way. He also completed a 100,000-word novel and a Broadway musical, which Mary plans to produce.

Scott's legacy remains part of Skyra's identity. As the company moves forward, honoring that legacy means more than looking back. It means continuing to create, making room for new talent, and pursuing the next story worth telling.

Mary Poiley is an entertainment producer and entrepreneur whose work spans film production, creative development, marketing, and brand strategy. She produced every film in the Skyra library — the features Cassadaga, Missionary, Last Shift, Exhume and Malum (executive producer), along with all of Skyra's short films, dance films and talk shows — and more.

As Skyra's owner, Mary leads both the creative direction and the business behind the work. Her role extends from developing projects and assembling creative teams to shaping partnerships, overseeing production, and building opportunities for those projects to reach audiences.

Today, she is building on that experience with a focus on what comes next: original entertainment that connects strong storytelling with new formats, distribution opportunities, and audience relationships.
